“That’s still not a good reason.”
He places a flower in her hair and takes her
hands into his. For a moment he said nothing,
only staring into her eyes. There was a kind
of determination there, a brave– almost
foolhardy– strength of will. But he seen
death, he had looked death in the eye and
said, “Not today.” There wasn’t much in this
world that Klaus feared– death was one of
the things he feared. That and loneliness.
He pressed his forehead against hers, eyes
shut in contemplation.
